Terms of Service

Short enough to read in one sitting. They cover this website — the work we do for a client is governed by the agreement we both sign.

Using this site

This website is operated by Commteck (“we”, “us”). By using commteck.net you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The site describes what we do and lets you ask us to contact you. It is an enquiry channel, not a contract: sending a form or a chat message does not create a client relationship, and it does not commit either of us to anything. A client relationship starts when a written agreement is signed.

Quotes, estimates and pricing

Prices shown on this site are indicative starting points for typical small and mid-sized practices. Real pricing depends on what you actually have — seats, sites, servers, compliance scope — so treat the figures here as a guide, and the written estimate we send after an assessment as the real thing.

  • A quote is a written estimate. It is itemised, it states whether each price is confirmed, and it expires 30 days after it is sent unless it says otherwise.
  • Estimates are built from our published rate card. If a line has not been confirmed by a person before it goes out, we say so rather than quietly guessing.
  • Nothing here is a billable commitment. Work only begins on an agreed scope, and only after we have confirmed who is authorised to approve it.

The AI assistant

The chat assistant on this site is an AI system. It is disclosed as one when you open it, it answers from our published information, and it can be wrong or incomplete — treat its answers as a starting point for a conversation with a person, not as professional advice.

  • It is not a person and not an engineer. Nothing it says is a support commitment, a diagnosis, or a promise about your systems.
  • Do not send it confidential or medical information. Messages are processed by a third-party AI provider and may be stored as a transcript. Patient or payment data does not belong in the assistant or a website form — tell us you have that kind of question and we will open a proper channel first.
  • A human takes over on request. The “talk to a human” route creates a real enquiry in our CRM, which a person then works.

How the assistant handles data is set out in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Please use the site as it is meant to be used. That means no automated or bulk submissions, no scraping or republishing of our content, no attempts to probe, overload or bypass the security of the site or the API behind it, and no using the forms or the assistant to send unlawful, misleading or abusive material.

We rate-limit and screen submissions, and we keep the ability to refuse service to anyone who abuses the site.

Third-party services

Some pages link to or embed services we do not control — appointment booking, analytics, and the products we support. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to your use of them, and our processor list names the ones that can see part of what this site collects.

A link to a product or vendor is not an endorsement of it, and a mention of a product we support is not a statement about your particular licence or version.

Our content

The text, layout, graphics and code of this site belong to us or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print and share links to it; you may not copy substantial parts of it into your own site or marketing without our written permission.

Brand names and product names mentioned on this site — for example Microsoft 365 or eClinicalWorks — belong to their owners. We are an independent provider and any partnership or programme we participate in is stated where it applies, never implied.

Warranties and liability

The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available as far as we reasonably can — and the uptime, backup and security work behind it is described on our security page — but we do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that everything on it is current at the moment you read it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, and it does not affect the terms of a signed services agreement — which governs the work we do for you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute about this website.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms when our practices change, and the last reviewed date at the top of the page moves with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

Contact

Anything to do with these terms — or a question about a quote — goes to helpdesk@commteck.net, or through the contact form.
